I'm not entirely all for MacArthur, but that's for theological reasons. The article mentions how he earns income, and I don’t see anything wrong with those ways, nor do I think he got into preaching to become rich. If you consider his teachings, there's a lot that turns people off. I imagine preaching from the pulpit either earns him the least or at most, it's in proportion to the giving of the church community. He's a leader who's directing the church, leadership, and future leadership. If you don't like what he's getting paid or doing, don't give to him

The issue I have with how Hell is perceived by most-it's not to do justice- It's that you are essentially born destined for Hell. That’s what I was taught. Even if you lead a good life and minimize harm, if you don’t give yourself to Jesus, you’re still bound for Hell. So, if you grew up in a place where the Christian god are vilified and you don’t get saved, you’re headed to Hell. Even if you’ve spent your entire life caring for the sick, the absence of finding Jesus means eternal suffering. All the kids killed during war that have not found Jesus, going to Hell. I just don't see how that is a loving god.
